The Institute of Higher Skills & Vocational Centre (Pvt) Ltd (IHS) is a registered private educational institution in Sri Lanka, formally incorporated on October 26, 2024, under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007. With its foundation laid in 2015, IHS has been dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employability, particularly in the North and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka—regions historically affected by civil conflict but abundant in natural resources and home to a wealth of untapped human potential.
Headquartered at MPCS Road, Semmenodai, Valachchenai, Batticaloa, IHS plays a critical role in post-war regional development by delivering skills development programs aligned with national priorities and global workforce standards. Our curriculum is designed to empower youth with practical, career-oriented training, enabling them to become active contributors to the private sector. To date, over 1000 students have successfully completed their programs at IHS, and 400 graduates have secured employment in the private sector through our industry-linked initiatives. Our mission is rooted in social upliftment through education, with a focus on inclusivity, quality, and real-world impact.
